Product & Customization

Are your doors fully customizable?

Yes! All of our iron doors are custom-made to match your preferred size, design, glass finish, hardware, and finish. We also accept custom sizes and designs.

What are the materials used for the iron door?


Our doors are built from 12-gauge heavy-duty steel, offering greater thickness compared to many standard options. They feature hand-forged detailing and are individually crafted for enhanced durability.


How should I measure the door?

Door width is determined by measuring from the left jamb's edge to the right jamb's edge, while the height is measured from the bottom of the threshold nose to the top edge of the header jamb. For further details, please refer to our Measure Guide.

Which door performs best in withstanding freezing cold weather?

All our standard iron doors are insulated for optimal energy efficiency. We highly recommend our Thermal Break Iron Doors, including thermal break iron entry doors, and thermal break iron French doors, which are specifically designed to withstand harsh winter conditions.

Can I cancel my order?

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. If your order is canceled before the final drawing is approved and before production begins, you are eligible for a full refund.

Once the drawing has been approved and production has started, a 50% production fee will apply to the cancellation.

Orders cannot be canceled once shipment has been arranged.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?

We offer free standard curbside delivery to eligible addresses within the 48 contiguous United States.

Standard delivery is not available to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, or certain remote locations.

Shipping to Canada may be available by custom freight quote. Please contact us at info@elitecustomdoor.com with your delivery address for availability and pricing.

How long will it take to receive my door?

Most Elite Custom Door products are made to order.

Estimated production time is approximately 7–8 weeks after final drawing approval, followed by approximately 7–8 weeks for shipping and delivery.

The estimated total production and delivery time is approximately 14–16 weeks after final drawing approval.

How is the door delivered?

Orders are typically delivered by freight carrier using curbside delivery.

The carrier will normally contact you before final delivery to arrange or confirm the delivery appointment.

Because iron doors are large and heavy, customers are responsible for arranging suitable assistance or equipment for unloading.


Do I need to help unload the door?

Yes. Our iron doors are heavy and may require 3–4 able-bodied people or a forklift to unload, especially if the crate is too large for a standard liftgate.

Is shipping free?

Free standard curbside delivery is included for eligible orders shipped to the 48 contiguous United States.

Additional charges may apply for special delivery requests or locations outside our standard delivery area.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. Tracking information will be provided once the order reaches the final domestic delivery stage and tracking becomes available.

Installation & Maintenance

Do you offer installation services?

We do not currently offer installation services. We recommend hiring a professional installer experienced with heavy iron doors.



What maintenance is required for iron doors?


All our iron doors are low maintenance. Periodic inspection and touch-up of any exposed metal or rust spots are recommended. Clean moving parts and avoid harsh chemicals to prolong the life of your finish.



Warranty & Returns

What does your warranty cover?

We offer:

Structural components & welds: 3-year limited warranty (excludes misuse, unauthorized modifications, and acts of nature).

Finish: 3-year limited warranty under normal environmental conditions.

Glass & hardware: 1-year warranty.

Do you accept returns?

We do not accept returns or refunds for our customized products unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect. Purchases made on Elite Custom Door are considered final sale and cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged due to their customized nature.
